We always try to stay family friendly here. if you post words or comments that are openly offensive then you will be asked nicely to stop and then it goes from there. None of the moderators will make an escalated move without discussing it with the other moderators so no, Motor is not acting alone. as you were told in another thread, if you have a problem send a PM to a mod, any one of us will help you or provide advice and support.
Infractions are more of a way for us to track issues so let it go, move on.

in the future when you have some feedback on someone please discuss it diplomatically and remain on topic, regressing to insults is not wise and if you are not careful you could even face a libel lawsuit. we don't want any legal issues for the site so we keep a close watch on these comments.

please just move on, relax, ask your questions and give advice. lets keep away from the drama.

Thanks K_e, I have been trying to get that across to him, I have PMd him a couple times explaining the issue from the forum side, I offered him a truce and his reply was a quote of already sent messaged, no OK, or buzz off.
Normally I wouldn't post in public like this but since he chose to go public, I feel that you all as members have a right to know how things work.
Before anyone gets infracted or booted(ceot the shoe and phone sales spammers) they will get at least one PM or mail, if not more explaining why they are on thin ice and asking them to tone the behaviour.
IF someone feels that a single mod , or another member is picking on them, flaming, harrassing or anything like that you all have to ability to hit report this post. That copies the thread and the complaint into mods forum, and yes, trust me, we are many, and we do look at as many aspects of the problem that we can, and try to decide on a course of action, as a group, if a gentle reminder doesn't work.
This being the internet, we have to deal with the limitations of the written word and how people percieve things. Smilies and LOLs, etc can help soften the tone to an extent, but not always.
One thing that is not going to work is arguing with a mod, and repeating an offense on public forum. That's one of the reasons we have PM, and the report post feature.
Believe me, we work REALLY HARD at trying to resolve conflict and keep the family friendly feel we have spent years cultivating, with out having to censor every possible
word or thought that may offend someone.
We have had a great bunch of people who seem to like the friendly atmosphere we have here, but sadly, when dealing with people, not everyone is always going to like everyone all the time. All we ask is everyone treat otheres(members or not) with the same courtesy they want for them selves. IF there is an issue PLEASE PLEASE bring it to our attention, Thanks

More hobbyists turn over in that forum than any other discussion forum.

TRT is actually a lot more fun; you can "argue" a little about methodologies and have a heated debate even with the mods/admins within reason I suppose. But trust me, the only thing 2 infraction points is doing is giving you stress. Let it go and focus on the important picture...

your monti setosa.

For me , setosa is very slow growing during the encrusting stage .....but once it starts noduling outward , it grows fairly steady and quick

this is what it looked like when I got it in march of 2008

and as of today

I keep mine in the lower part of my tank, I use 2 x 250 de 20k halides. not sure how it will do with pc's but your best chance would be to place up high.

I picked up a tiny frag of orange setosa last week and have it in moderate flow high under a 250MH and it is bright orange and doing well. I hope mine grows as fast as the pics above
30.00 for this TINY frag but man it's beautiful. It's the tiny one to the far right

you should be fine , just give it time to encrust ....then It will have growth spurts.
