how many sps in 24g nano?

i'm almost done with re-arranging the rocks in my 24G aquapod, and i'm about to start mounting frags in their "final" places

this will be a mixed tank (well, it already is); SPS, LPS, zoas, mushrooms

how many branching type SPS can i comfortable put in a tank this size? the SPS will be placed in the highest spots of the tank. the center spot direct underthe 150W MH is reserved for a crocea clam in the future.

the rest of the spots will be taken up by various zoas, ricordeas, blue mushrooms, acans, favia & favites, cyphastrea, duncan, frogspawn

i currently have these SPS frags in the tank;

- ORA pink birdsnest ~2"
- red acropora millepora ~3.5" small colony, will frag it when i decide on it's final spot, and sell/trade the rest
- yellow/orange acropora millepora 1" frag
- acropora turaki <1" frag

do you think that i have room for more? or should i stick to these?
i'd like to add some blue SPS to the mix

I think the answer depends on available open rock

If you have a spot for it and it's not touching anything else then yup go ahead and add.

Agreed, the only thing to monitor is water chemistry, as it may be depleted more quickly, but otherwise as long as it fits, it's fine to go in there (though of course, more pruning will be likely, but who has a hard time finding frags new homes?).

It doesnt necessarily have to be that challenging, and there are a few small calcium reactors or ATO units which can be employed for small setups.

actually, the parameters in my (24G) nano, are more stable than they were in my old 90G tank.

i'm topping off with kalkwasser, and do ~10-15% weekly water changes.

on top of that i'm mixing SPS, LPS, mushrooms, zoas and palys in one small volume. i am not running carbon, just a small skimmer.

everything is growing nicely. my biggest problem so far is finding a MH bulb that both me and the corals like

i hope that i didn't jinx myself by posting this now
