How are dwarf angels with SPS?

I am changing my tank over to an sps tank and I have a well established tank but I have a coral beauty and a bi-color dwarf angels. And I am curious on how they will do with sps? They have not nipped at my softies.

With dwarf angels, you have a 50/50 shot. But since you haven't seen him nip yet, you SHOULD be okay. I have CB in my 72 gallon SPS tank. He nips from time to time (rarely), but I don't think it's affected them in any way. It's more a nervous habit of his than anything else.

You should be okay.

Here is a discussion on dwarf angels and how reef safe they are, you might find this helpful:

I had the same question a while back and one comment I got was that, since I do not have the angel yet, to get the SPS first and let them stablish themselves in the tank, then get the angel fish. The reasoning was that the fish being the newcommer to the tank will be adjusting to the new sorroundings as opposed to getting the SPS after the fish because it may go see what the new thing taste like out of curiosity and then develop a taste for them.
Also, according to this lady, some angels fish have a wide mouth (potters angel) and some have a more pointy mouth (cherub); the ones with pointy mouth are somehow more likely to nip. I do not know if this is true or is just coincidence.

I realize this is not your situation but I tought this may help someone.

I've had two pygmies(golden and potteri) before in a primary SPS tank. While they don't do much damage to stonies, PE was more noticeable after they were removed.

interesting, i have had less of a problem with the Cherub angels than with the other angels. it may have more to do with the size of the angel than the pointy mouth thing, so one data point does not make a trend.

My chrub angel was an indiscriminate picker. She just picked across the rock then onto the coral. Never really ate any coral, just didn't care what she was eating stuff off of, leathers, stonies, not LPS though, the corals however do care.
