Maybe the green slimer, Acropora yongei. Pretty hardy and a quick grower.

Depends on the system. Most "stags" are close to impossible to kill tho. Tables tend to require very specific (and difficult to accomplish) water flow patterns.

I 2nd the bali green slimer if you cannot grow that one just stay away from sps. Its easy has great color and grows fast. most local reef clubs will have someone who will give it to you for free.

Good question Jadefox, I'm getting ready for some SPS myself. I'll have to try a green slimer.

Thanks for the contribution...it's not coral for me...I'm just trying to get a consensus about easy so-called SPS corals.
Keep 'em coming. :-)

birds nest (Seriatopora) is pretty easy. That was my first one that had good growth.

So more than just Acropora? Your thread title implies your looking at one genus, which does not include birdsnests or digitatas.

If just Acros, I vote A. millepora. They are probably my favorite and very durable.

acro valida is pretty tough as well.you may not get the best colors if you have poor lighting or high nutrients, but ive had frags fall into the rockwork and still recover weeks later.
