Its hard to say... The pic is a little blurry... It may be a spunge, it could be an egg sack, it could be some algae, there are lots of things it could be.

i doubt its algae or an eggsack cuz if a fish swims too close to it .. it kinda sucks itsself up ito a smaller ball .. and it has little stems on it .

Ive had one for over a year just like it but mines yellow. It seems like sponge of some sort to me.

i have 2 of them in the tank .. i noticed that if something disturbs the water it kinda hides or shrivels up .. and also when its open it looks like it has little stems on it . im thinkin it might be a little coral growing .. i can be wrong thow

Must be different than mine then....mines not nearly that reactive. But it sure looks a whole lot like it, little holes in it and all.
