bottle cap frags

ok, how are you suppose to glue down a frag that you get that has something like an inverted bottle cap that it is glued to? Do you fill in the inverted bottle cap with marine epoxy? Take it off the bottle cap (which I would think might cause a bit of trauma) Cut down the sides of the bottle cap? How the heck are you suppose to do this?

i would fill the bottle cap with epoxy and stick it to the rocks. the coral will eventually encrust onto the rock below, and you wont even know it is there.

uhm...is the bottle cap metal? If so, I'd remove it from the bottlecap and superglue it somewhere.

They looked pretty stupid on the bottle caps so I broke them off and reglued to a small piece of rock then onto the tank rock. Thought maybe that way the part left on the bottle cap would grow making more...well some made it ok, two didn't and just RTN'd and were lost (guess it was too traumatic) or they didn't like the glue-who knows? What was left in the bottle cap just died off-not thinking I cut close to the bottom and probably didn't leave enough polyps for what was left in the bottle cap to feed, argh. Hate when I figure this out the hard way!
