Heated driveways... man you haven't missed a thing. Looking great.
I need to figure out a reason to fly to Chicago for business.

wow ther guy who did the exposed agragate did an awesome job. the last time the pool area was done they messed it up so bad it had to be redone. he did a great job of fixing someone elses mistake. that is a pool to be proud of.

no if you look back in the older pictures you can se the original exposed ageragate was put down up to the pool edge. there is a 6" wide lip of the pool that is exposed in the earler pics. they they put down a wide concrete area next to the pool that covered the lip of the pool. the big problem with the original job was the looks of it. it looked really bad. and there was also some low spots in the concrete that showed. this job looks really nice. the big problem was the windows had to be raised up along with the doors in order for the new slab to be pored. if they would have taken out the original slab they would have had to replace to pool too. it would have ruined the pool.
another thing that no one has see yet is bills nifty gate at the front of the driveway. its one of those really cool remote activated ones that swings open just like the fancy ones in hollywood.
bill has planed for everything in this house. the stair case that will amaze people when it get there. its going to be awesome!

Hi Bill
Do Scott build better skimmers than Deltec? Or is it better value for the money? Do he have a web-site for his buissnes?
Thanks

Let me answer this question for you , I have own every skimmer there is , deltech , bubble king , rk2 you name it . They all suck , so I started building my own and the hooked up with Scott who designed the first needled wheel for the dart pump . He builds the best skimmer hands down . There is simply nothing better out there and more energy efficient . Thats why hes is building the two for me right now , Iam so anal I do everything myself but Ti have him build these for me says alot , I can afford to have any skimmer i want , I even had a physco priced Schuran that was a horrible piece of garbage , What makes Scotts skimmers so good is he didn't come into from plastics background , he was just like us , wanted something better so he made it .The skimmers you see from reeflow are crude copies of his , what people dont understand is that you cant skimer 500 gallons of water with a 12 inch diameter tube , it wont work .
thats why his skimmers are so big , They are sized in the real world , If he says it good for 1500 gallons it is , not 1500 gallon with one fish in it . Iam sure if you contact him He will hook you up . I guarantee you wont be disappointed.
Yes the pool came out better than i expected , I cost a tom more but well worth it .
We had teh same guy do teh rest of teh exterior concret work , just wish I had him pour my tank , would have saved alot of work for me .

Bill, The thing I have been really looking forward to seeing take shape is the surge system but I don't recall any mention of it in quite some time. Are you still going with the surge tank? If so where does it go in the house?

I know both of you guys know a lot about skimmers, but shouldn't the overall design of the skimmer dictate the riser tube height? If it turns out to be too short to reach the height you want, just put a small stand under the whole skimmer.

its funny you say that. he is lucky. bill builds him a huge castle, feeds him all the food he wants, and then he spits water at you if you ignore him wehn you go into the fish room. if you dont at least throw a few pieces of krill in the tank for him he will shower you with squirts of water to get your attention. bill told me that one day and i told him he was full of @#$% (insert skimmate there) so he had me go in the fish room and walk back and forth twice in front of the tank fred was in. it took the second time for fred to get his bullseye. my arm was soaked with in seconds. he is like a squirt gun. ha ha ha ha ha it will be interesting to see what happens when i jump in the tank with fred and squirt water back at him.

is ok to make the riser tubes longer but no to make them shorter. most skimmers fit in tight places so the risers are made shorter. the taller the riser tube the less turbulant the bubbles that rise up to form the foam head. we may have to go wider withthe riser in the end becasue of the size of this thing. becasaue if its size there will be some expermenting done with these. the pumps will be specal made to produce alot more fine bubbles. the ohpe is we can produce more air to the skimmer for the same amount of wattage as bills current skimmer is using.
