here is a pic of it in the spot it will go in...the im debating removing the storage cubbard in the back for more room.
the main issue I had when cutting the wood was I was using a standard circular saw instead of the table style saw

we are also in the process of redoing the kitchen and painting it etc...it will be the color you see on the right and the stand will be white

Im adding more supports to the top...problem is I dont know where the overflows are on the tank since I havent ordered it yet so I dont want to block them with 2x4's

You'll want as much room behind the tank as you can get, as it just makes it easier to work on. I'd recommend pulling out those shelves.

Pretty wise move... I didnt even start building the stand before I had the tank at the house. I did not want to redo it for that reason.

does anyone have the measurements for the overflows on a AGA 180...not the corner overflows but the center ones.

New update....was bored and was plenty of daylight so I made a trip to home depot.
This is some of the molding im using around the bar to go with the wine theme we want to use in the kitchen

The reason for the high wrap around the stand is because I want to cover the deep sand bed...it will come up right to the top of the sand.
