By golly, there's rock in there!!!

I've had the rock "cooking" for nearly a year. A lot of the corals are already in another system waiting for this one to be finished....

Great Pics, Thanks, Greg!!!

I'm curious about why you don't have holes punched in the sides of the standpipes - wouldn't that make it quieter?

Actually, that's just the initial installation for the stanpipes, it's not how they ended up. Even that wasn't very load though. Two 2" drains don't need a lot of quieting even for 2000 gph. All the flow will fit through one of the standpipes, and even that doesn't make a whole lot of noise - relatively speaking.

What do you have in store for lighting greg. I see you have ample space for cooling. I noticed youe netting around your overflow. I would have never thought of that.

The camera is there, but I had to swap out the computer and haven't set up the drivers and such on it yet.

The sump is fine. There are a few minor changes I'd make, but nothing significant. It's working out pretty well. I'll go over the changes I'd make as we continue through the thread...

Here I have the 3 MH's installed. There is no actinic supplimentation installed yet. Just 3 Ushio 10K bulbs. The actinics will be installed shortly...

Here's attempt #1 of the aquascaping. Remember that the goal with a bare bottom tank is to put as little contact point of the rock as possible on the bottom. You want the current to blow the detritius out from under the rocks.
