Yes, it is. I would have gone with a "smoked" color, but I would have had to go to a thinner glass, which I wasn't willing to do.

And here it is after the first coat of paint!

The overflow is completely unnoticable when looking at the tank from the side.

How did you determine that the stand you built would support the weight???

Man your wallet must have a massive bruise. Mine squeals like a pig just setting up my 55. Looks awsome and well thought out. Hats off to you and your planning.

Experience I guess. The stand was modeled after stands that my LFS has some 10 x 4 foot tanks on for the last 10 years or so.

You know, it really wasn't that bad. Not cheap, but not all that much more than my 180. Ok, so I'm in denial. Don't make me think about it.

Here's another shot of the roof of the canopy and wet room. The vent you see there was replaced by an icecap fan, and another fan was added in the middle of the canopy. Originally, I wasn't going to use a chiller and I had a box fan in the end of the canopy pushing air through the vent. It worked, but it made the great room too humid and warm.

I added a few more beams to the canopy. I was afraid that over time the drywall may sag in the humid environment.

The wet room is starting to shape up

Just interested but why didn't you make the tank parallel to the opening in the wall?

Well, it would have taken more space from the room, and IMO not looked as nice. The angle really makes it interesting to me.
