Tell us some more. What do you plan on putting in the 180?

With a tank that size the T-5's can get pretty expensives for start up and in the long run. What are you wanting to keep? MH would give you more coverage with less bulbs, lower replacement costs and less to spend for start up. Generally, with the T-5's, the goal is to place as many bulbs in the canopy as you can. That is where the cost will bite you. With the MH 3 bulbs will do you great. You can also but retro kits for a fraction of a MH complete fixture cost. HTH

If youre going to do SPS then I would get as many T-5's in there as you possibly can.
