[quote=plack;1360947]I have 8 fish in my 18o for what it's worth.

I would not get the damsels because of they are so mean. Also I don't know of ANYONE EVER saying they were glad they got and kept a damsel !!!

Oooo, I love my canary damsel. I also have a yellow tail damsel. These guys chase each other a little, but they don't bother anyone else.

My 180 reef houses the following:

1)purple tang
2) 2 occelaris
3)2 mandarins
3)bluespot jawfish
4)canary damsel
5)yellowtail damsel
6)6-line wrasse

I disagree. Be creative and refrain from stacking rock against the glass and you'll be fine. I mean, I did it without trouble.

This is what it really comes down to. You can keep quite a few fish if you can skim your tank effectively. Everything people are saying alludes to the varying factors which every hobbyist faces. You need to prevent waste from collecting in your system and decent flow and filtration will assist in that regard. In addition, tangs, while very nice, are the poopin'est fish out there. They seem to produce more waste than a lot of other fish so the more tangs you have, the less of others you can afford.
