I haven't heard of that one before. Has it been around long?

My friend had a 2' Brown-banded bambo shark in his 125 with full reef. There cool cheap and available if you grow out from egg. Only took out some raccoon butterflies in LFS, son there not too aggressive. I liked feeding it silversides with my hand.

got the stuff for the durso today... 10' section of 2" PVC, threaded coupling to attach it to the bulkhead, and 2 90 degree sections for the durso.

ok, had a bad day friday so i decided to do a leak test on the 300... here are the shots.

you will note the back of Bemo's head in #1

when i got to the level in the last shot i found a slow drip coming from the middle BH on the bottom so i had to drain it down to 1/4th... now i have to figure out how to tighten it without flipping the tank again.

got it drained down to the last little bit, i will be vacuuming the remainder out tonight and then i get to flip the tank and tighten everything up better (finally found my channel lock pliers). I also hope to have the durso in the overflow by this weekend. things are starting to come together, i just need to figure out the budget.

Unless you got the heavy duty BH's be REAL careful tightening the BH's with channel locks. They say hand tighten so I only gave them a bit more of a bump with my channel locks. Nothing leaked.

Hey Twitterbait, Was just thinking of that 300... What if you put all the rock and coral at one end... and then the whole edge of the reef thing would look cool. then maybe a fine sand bottom sloping away from the rock with some sponges or gorgonians in the bottom. That would look great. I have seen many reef edges...

There is a store up here that has a couple of sharks, Nurse, black tip and another. I also have friends that dive....if you would like to try to catch a dogfish... just some thoughts.

thanks all.
Nate...
Because i am still in an apartment i want to keep the tank semi mobile... plus i hate sand

i may consider the LR on the end though but i was thinking the middle so it could be a centerpiece in the tank.
