YAY!! I'm a daddy, well WAS!!

So i was watching my tank for no reason and all of a sudden i see this plume of white emerge from a corner of the tank and on the back side of a piece of LR. All of a sudden as soon as the white appears my fish go crazy and start gobbling it up... since i was sitting right in front of the tank... i tried to get a close look at what was floating around in the tank. upon closer inspection i see these small translucent creatures... my cleaner shrimp had released the babies she had been holding and fanning under her belly for a while now... they looked just like little shrimps but tiny... it was awesome... however before i could get a picture or a brine shrimp net to scoop some out and then put in a fuge or another tank to raise, they were all gone... my fish ate all of them up... so for about 5 seconds i was the proud ownder of hundreds of baby shrimpies... just wanted to share....

maybe a few of those hundreds actually made it ssafely to a little crevice in the rocks somewhere...who knows, in a couple months you may discover you have more shrimp than you thought

That's cool! I had the same thing happen in my tank a couple weeks ago. I have 2 cleaners, a mated pair of Maroons, and 2 Bangali cardinalfish. I'm preplexed as to which pair of anamials it was that mated, but I was sitting in front of the tank when they were released as you we're. What caught my attention was one of the Cardinals darting around very fast. Then the rest of the fish followed. It was quite the feeding frenzy! Nothing like adding formula one or Cyclopseeze. I mean they we're more agressive then I had ever seen them. I t happend so fast that they we're all gone in under 2 min I think. I am pretty sure it was the shrimp, but I never seen eggs under either of them, but then I wasen't looking for eggs on them either. What sucked about it was the halides had just turned off and just the actenics we're on so I coulden't see the fry real good. But boy did they clean it up fast! Must have been some good eatink
