WTT: Icecap250 ballasts for HQI ballasts

I have some really nice 250 watt icecap ballasts, that are nice and cool running (as ballasts go) that are working just fine, they save some money on the power bill, are compact, and start magnificantly. the problem i have is that i am running de hqi bulbs on them, and they are not giving me the full potential that i would have from these bulbs as i would have if running hqi ballasts. additionally, i do not pay for power, so the significant energy savings are somewhat lost to me.

if there is someone running se 250 bulbs, and wants to shave a bit off their power bill, i am very interested in trading for a dual 250 hqi ballast setup, pfo or blueline style.

let me know, shortly i am going to just buy a ballast new if i can not find someone to swap with.

these are the dudes i have on my system now, and the exact pieces available for swap

Krux - Are you unhappy with the phoenix on the IC?

I'm setting up my 20L and have a DE PFO mini pendent mounted and I'm getting ready to buy my ballast and bulb. I was planning the IC and P14 bulb. I heard it was not as bright as on the HQI's but the PAR was still there (~400 I think)

the par actually drops a bit, with an hqi ballast you get about 18% more par. it is not a real issue, but as my tank is 24" tall, i really need to make use of the top half of the tank, hoping that upping the par a bit will let me keep some thigns atad bit lower.

color and performance it is a fine combo if you are not trying to place high light sps at the bottom of a tall tank.... i am going to keep these bulbs for sure, they rock, just seeking a bit more power out of them since it is theoretically available.
