I went tonight to purchase a large trash can for water storage since JR hooked up my RO unit for me... thanks JR!!! but couldn't remember which cans are safe... what does everyone use to store their fresh RO water in?

Thanks, Jenni

I use the rubbermaid trash can that comes in a dark navy blue color and you can get it at walmart (our fave place to shop =) ...) for like $8.50 for a little more spendy you can try out the Brute trash cans from Rubbermaid they are really really sturdy and are the ones used at all the restaurants i have ever worked at for garbage cans, broken glass bins, food storage etc... they are very very durable and you can also get a caster for it so that you can wheel it around even when full... it wont flex or budge even when full of water... or garbage or broken glass.. =) the can i use is flexible so it bulges and flexes when it has water in it and i try to move it but it is made of thick material and seems very durable. I am thinking of getting a brute with the caster so its easier to move.
hope that helps.

also. you can get the brutes at home depot or lowes but not at walmart. I know you can get the dark blue one i use at home depot also but i think it might be like twice the money of walmart. when buying any water container be sure to thoroughly rinse the container out with RO water so that you can be sure that it is clean and free of home depot (or walmart) dust.
