Thumbs up

Upscales has some nice stuff again!

As usual, nice stuff and good prices at Upscales. They've been gettin in some amazing acros lately.

AND, let me just say that although I DO have access to wholesale fish through my side venture, I still go out of my way and buy fish for my tank at retail from Upscales because they always seem to have the healthiest specimens.

I know they may not have the bedside manner of a pediatric physician, but as a low-maintenance consumer, I'm more interested in the livestock and the prices than anything else...just IMHO

I won't set foot in Upscales anymore. Bought some chromis when I first started up the reef and didn't notice till I put them in the tank that one of them had some type of "rot" and I was going on vacation the next day - lost all the fish. They don't care what shape it's in, just sell it to make a $.

Thanks for the heads up -- I have noticed that they have had some nice corals lately.

AND, let me just say that although I DO have access to wholesale fish through my side venture, I still go out of my way and buy fish for my tank at retail from Upscales because they always seem to have the healthiest specimens.

They may have a good supplier but they have more dead fish in their tanks than any LFS in town - on par with Petco. 4 weeks in a row they had dead fish in their tanks - too busy reading magazines up front vs paying attention to their tanks.

I know what ya mean Kevin1000. I was there a little while back looking to spend a couple hundred dollars on corals and I could not get anyone to help me. I tried for about 45 minutes and finnaly got so frustrated that I left. Whoever was working that day was having a personal phone conversation and wouldnt even look my way when I tried to get his attention. Actually, he gave me so much attitude like I was burdening him by trying to make him do his job that it was ridiculous. Never again will I step foot in Upscales.
