Starting A Fuge ?s

Well thanks to BBReefkeeper(Bryan) I have a fuge setup. Just plumbed it into the system today and have no leaks as of yet. fingers crossed. Now I'm thinking of going the chaeto route but don't have any experience with the stuff and I feeling lazy and not wanting to search the forums for the info. Does the stuff attach to rock or do I need some sand in the bottom as well? It's only 5 gallons. Couldn't I just take sand from the main tank and put it into the fuge? Or could I leave in bare with just some rock? Thanks
Craig

It floats. I think it is the best of the macro algae for a refugium.

water, flow lights, chaeto, that is all that needs to be in the fuge... if you have the nutrients it will thrive in that environment... if you want a pod farm it would be best to add some rock as well to allow for more diverse environments for various species to populate

Cool looks like I'm set. All I need is a cheap grow lamp from Home Depot and some Chaeto thanks guys......Battlezone???? I haven't played that game since around 1984 or so....not the best graphics by today's standards but back when I was a teen it rocked. There was nothing like putting in a tape of RATT in the old boom box and blasting some tanks. OK I couldn't afford the boom box but I was able to scrounge up a few quarters and head down to the old bowling alley for a round of dig dug with my buddies. Boy did I put some miles on the old BMX bike......Sorry I'm rambling. I forgot what I was talking about. Sorry Uber I'm sure you were talking about a newer game but you brought back some memories. If so....sorry never heard of it but I will check it out
