Spontaneous Efflo slime

Whoa, i just walked in to check on the reef and noticed my efflo just sliming like crazy!!! I have been reefkeeping for some time now and have seen a lot of things happen; I.E. spawning, coral wars, etc. but i have never seen a coral just spontaneously start sliming without disturbing it. there are no corals within a few inches of the efflo to attack it. ph is fine and all other SPS's are normal. I just thought it was wierd.. anyway, just thought id post a thread as its been a while, so if anyone has an efflo and seen this happen for no reason feel free to feedback...If it doesnt stop im gonna pull it out and dip it, maybe its not getting enough current, or too much light?? who knows??

Nope, nothing. That is why i thought it was kinda strange.Im sure its nothing to worry about. I just use a turkey baster to blow off the slime. For those of us who grow SPS without CLS, turkey basters are MONEY! I swear by them. At least once a day i blast all SPS in my tank. Keeps them Free of detritus.I do have Seaswirls but they dont get ALL the nooks and cranny's.
