I have know idea how much shipping this stuff will cost. I was assuming that home depot would just bring it in. But after looking at my post in the general discussion it seems davej had to pay $80 for 10 bags, this comes to about $24 cents a pound.
But I will still persue this, so let me know if you are interested and how much you will take.

i have tried this also and its a lot harder to get home depot to do than you think. i went through the HD that dave did and found out that the guy that ordered it got his ass chewed as HD had to eat alot of the shipping from an interstore transfer. so i told them i would pay all freight and i got my HD involed as well . i got as far as getting the sku# for the sand but they couldn't find a store that carried it west of the mississippi. all the stuff they carry like rock sand mud ect. is from local distributors so for them to spend the wages to track some down is a hard thing to do. i wish you the best of luck and if you can get some in i want 200 to 300 pounds of it. thanks aaron and keep me posted.
PS there is a guy named murry that is a manager at a Los Angels HD and he can get in pallets of the stuff. but you would have to get at least 1-2 pallets from him and then pay shipping up here.

I can bring in a pallett of the Pure arragonite if the South down doesn't work for you guys. I would need to have most of the pallett sold in order to do it...
Let me know what you think...

Hi Renae,
Thanks alot, what are we looking at weight wise and how much a pound. I should know tomorrow about the south down. Also if the south down stuff works out you could order it for us and have it delivered at your place. .
Have a great day!

Hi all,
Well south down won't ship to oregon, but they said that I might find a nursery in pennisulvania that might ship it for us. I am pursuing another option also. We need about 2800 pounds spoken for at about $35c pound. This is pure argonite. This is sort of fun I like challenges

I tried to play the HD south down game here at the Tigard store, it didn’t work. They could have brought it in but the shipping charges are huge if remember right, I was in the area of $1000 for shipping a pallet out. It’s doable but not that cost effective.

Hi,
Pallet shipping is around $400 that is still about $30c pound or less.
I have contacted southdown again and told them that we could have a trucking company pick it up. See what they say about that. I don't give up easily. Southdown is in high demand here so if we could get a LFS to bring it in they could redistribute and possible make a few extra $$$. I have a business license but I'm on SSI so can't start a business and make a profit.
Have a great day!

Ok, contacted trucking company and 'Option' The shipping is really expensive. I wonder who these guys are using for trucking?
http://www.purearagonite.com/co-opprogram.html
I give up LOL
But if you want the above stuff I will have a price per pound, we need to order 2800 pounds on a pallet to get the best rate. I can cover some of the cost, but would need some money up front and I believe we can have heaven bring it in for us for a small fee.
So far we have about 1000 pounds spoken for. Heaven how much wll you take?
Have a great day

Hey guys i can get 50 pound bags of hawian araganite size#1
I have access to 100 bags at 30.00 per bag retail, and the good news is its in stock I do not have to depend on a wholesaler to ship it to me. The color is pinkish/white but it does take some extra cleaning. Out of the 100 bags I am buying 12 to use in are new tanks. Just let me know if you want some. If you have any questions call me or e-mail me.
