seems at bit odd....most folks, as reported on numerous boards, get for seachem...Ca 420 Mg 1300 alk 8 (it does have a higher pH from the high borate though.....and a typical IO result is...Ca 380 Mg 980 alk 10. I currently don't use either, so I can't confirm personally....I can only relate what has been recently posted. That's why the folk on the Zeo board (as well as others) mixed the low IO Mg salt with high Mg salts like Seachem or Oceanic.....they generally like IO....just not its low Mg or Ca. I never really understood the mixing thing though....seems to be a bit of an unnecessary hassle. Remember...mixed to 35ppt or 1.025 to acheive comparable results.
If you are getting a lower than 1300 value for Mg and lower than 420 Ca on the seachem.....I'd contact that seachem rep in that thread that I linked....the lower values are an indicator of the bad batch.....or so the rep posted in that thread.
