new tank help/ideas

Hey guess what? i just purchased a 75 gallon acrylic tank and stand for a sweet price. the tank has not been drilled or anything so i need some ideas on how to set it up. i am looking to go with a 40gal+- sump with skimmer and refugium. i dont understand closed loop vs overflows. i am on a very tight budget for awhile so keep in mind that i will do the work myself. that and i wont have a huge amount of money for buying a lot of pumps and such.
now with that said let the floor be open to ideas.


ps i will have a the need to purchase some lights and a skimmer and pump if anyone has any old ones laying around they could cut me a deal on.
