New Pics (dial up beware)

Ok sanblas and I had some dialogue going in his thread, and instead of stealing his any more, I thought I would just make my own to show folks the new tank and how the colors are starting to come back, and also to show off the new lenses for the camera.

Interesting to note, my black disks (demoneyes) are starting to develop more rings... wasn't hoping for this, but I guess they still look nifty.

Lighting is 2 X 250 watt AB 10K HQI and 2 X 24" HO T5 Actinic
Camera is a Nikon 4300 with both macro and wide angle lenses.

That is all.

for the macro lens i need to have the stuff within about 3 inches of the glass, or i cant get it to focus on them. the wide angle will let me get stuff further in the tank though.

in photoshop i crop out the part i want, create a new image in whatever size the crop happens to be, paste in my crop, and then shrink it to the web friendly width. i have found that 2200 as a width makes it kind of hard to view

Well, I am not as good at full tank shots, and my halides are off, and only half my actinics are running, but here is one anyway. In a couple weeks when I do my final aquascaping I will post some more detailed shots.

My rock is anything but flat, which is what allows my modular design. i have all my frags on very pointy rubble, which i wedge in all the nooks and holes in the rock work.

If you have a burning desire, you can view my whole online photo album, but i warn you, most of them are crummy shots, or specific things folks wanted to see, like the underside of my sink. If I have not turned you off, here ya go

all the purple along the top came out of my 29, all the white rock hidden by corals is new base rock that i bought from piero last month. get a strontium kit and keep yourself dosed at the highest levels you trust, and it will grow like wildfire.

hmm, the really purple stuff is probably 3 year old rock to answer that question though.

Lovin the macro, Ryan. Tank looks great of course. I really like those last zoos with the little white specks. Way cool! Looks like I'll have to get something cool to entice some of those off a rock. See you later.

How do you like photo shop? I use my software that came with my camera and its a pain in the ass to chop and resize a pic.
