Needing a id on this!!!


well i got this about four months ago and not really shure what it is it was a hitch hiker on a piece of live rock its growing like crazy it has now split just wondering if some one would know what it might be...

also a good way to get it off are move it away from my pink zoos its starting to smother my zoos out..

It does look like a "frilly" shroom. Have you looked underneath does it have a stem? If it does, then that's what it clould be, just remove it as usual and trade it away. Use hammer and chisel to get some of the rock off with the shroom or else it'll grow back again

i didn't think shrooms split... but it def does look like a hairy shroom

Trust me they split I bought 1 a year or so ago and it has spawned 12-15 clones of it's self.

Hairy, fuzzy, frilly, shaggy, whatever,... this is the type of shroom you got my friend. Grows and replicates itself well under wide range of light conditions but, under MH, can grow to 3"+ across, projecting rays nearly an inch above the disc. They can easily become a solid carpet that will obscure the rock they grow on, as well as the round individual nature of the polyp, causing an almost star polyp field appearance. Like em'. R2
