There was a thread recently about Seios not restarting after a power outage. So, the Seio may be not be associated with the GFI tripping.

Thanks for that info ... first question the guy at Taam asked was whether this device was hooked up to a wavemaker ... apparently they don't do well with alot of on/off situations.

Nope.. They sure dont.. They have been working on a Controller for their Seios but need to get past the on/Off issue LOL... Seios are good strong pumps though... Taam donated a few that were given away at the previous meeting at Nikkis place..

Update

Received detail instructions from Taam about returning the Seio ... spend $7 in postage returning it ... guess what ... apparently their customer service/ tech service guys don't know they moved ... got my package back saying customer had moved and forwarding order expired.

To compound the problem Taam doesn't answer their phones ... doesn't matter if you press the buttom for the operator, tech service, sales etc ... all you get is a tape recording saying leave a message. Really hate working with a company that doesn't give a crap about customer service.

Update of the Update.

Hate to bad mouth a Company without giving them kudo's for making things right.

Fed up with no telephone response from Taam I got their fax number and faxed them a nice letter outlining the problem. Left them both a telephone number and Email address where I could be contacted ... got an almost immediate response back on Email indicating that a new Seio was going to be sent out today.

Lesson learned .. when dealing with Taam forget using the telephone - use the fax.

Hopefully my replacement Seio will arrive shortly.

Update ...

Don't want to sound spitefull but for those who are trying to distinquish good companies from lousy ... Taam falls into the lousy category.

Taam never did answer the phone. Was forced to deal with them strickly by fax and email. Taam told me they UPS'd me a replacement Seio on April 1 .... even though the UPS tracking information consistently verified that UPS never got a Seio to ship ... informed Taam on different occasions that their was a "shipping" problem and was nicely told I was full of crap ... a week later I finally got fed up and told TAAM that all my future complaints would be directed to Marine Depot .... guess what ... within hrs. UPS suddenly gets a product to ship.

Never did receive an apology or a notice that they had made a mistake and had "re-shipped" the product- Like dealing with a black hole.

Be a cold day in hell before I purchase another product from this company or any affiliated company.
