nano is getting full...time to upgrade
Hi,
I will soon be in the market for an acrylic tank/stand/canopy somewhere in the 29 gal range. My nano is running a little low on real-estate and I think it's time to upgrade. I have a full 75 galon fw setup; tank/filter(canister,hob)/heater/lights/stand that I will soon be selling to finance this project. I am particuraly fond of the 1/2 hex looking tanks....If that makes any sense. I would love to convert my 75 to reef, but I don't feel stable enough to take on a tank that size, lol, nor do I think I could afford -to stock it. If anyone knows of an affordable local place I could purchase a tank of this description or a cheep internet site, lemme know. If anyone is interested in my 75 setup, feel free to pm me as well.
Thanx,
Ron

My 55 gallon reef might be right what you are looking for depending on what you can afford. It is a set up reef with lots of great live rock, 2 175 watt MH, wet/dry with skimmer with a Rio 3100 return pump. Stand and hood I made myself so they are not great but it is not bad. Selling really cheep for what you are getting. Patrick

I would setup that 75- just as long as it hasn't been treated with cooper before. Just think, the 75 is just a bigger nano and "lot more forgiving" than a nano. Just need more sand, LR, lights, fans, skimmer, aump, fuge, ect, ect....

Trust me, if I thought I could I would. The problem is 1, space; i live in a 2bdr apartment and that monster is taking up too much space. 2. the cost of setting that thing up is more than I can afford as I survive off of financial aid. 3 I might be moving around a little after college...or maybe not, I dont wanna vbe breaking down a 75 gal reef in a year. True a 75 would be much more forgiving, but Ive had great succsess with my nano. I would love to set up the 75, but presently, it's just not do-able when all factors are taken into consideration.....oh and it's never been treated with copper....if anyone is intersted in the setup....
