My skimmer is finally here....

"... but still no tank. "

But the skimmer is here. For my next tank I bought a Reefmania.net recirculating pump from Greg Shields (gesheilds). I think I really got lucky with this one as he doesn't even have a recirc skimmer on his site. Thanks Greg for letting me know you build them.

The skimmer body is 12" in diameter. 18" tall and over all height of 30". It can be either an internal or external skimmer.

The skimmer has not been clean since unpacked.

Wanted to share this and Thanks to Greg for making a great skimmer while paying close attention to details and quality.

Five Thumbs Up.!!!!!

So here it is:

CLose up of recirc pump (Sen9000) and an extra bulkhead for future expansion

Thickness of the flange

Key hole flange

Actually....he will need a feed pump to supply the unit. I would guess he will "T" off something....since it probably only requires about 1000gph.

it is still a decent of wattage once you add in all the recirc pumps... the top manufacturers of needlewheels claim low consumption but they usually fail to talk about that little point if they recirc, they just show you how small of a feed pump they use...

as steve mentioned though, even with all of them going, it is still a ton less than you would use if you overskimmed with a beckett, like 4 huge precision marine skimmers for instance

so, when are you bringing it over?
