Kick ich?

Any one had any luck with kick ich? I hear is supposed to be reef safe. I have an achilles tang that as long as i feed him sushi soaked in garlic oil at least twice a day, he is fine. If i slack off to once a day, he is scratching & showing ick spots by the time the lights go out. been going on for a month & a half. Still healthy, swims around like a busy bumble bee.

Hi Fred!

Remember the most important rule of garlic treatment is to treat for 30-45 days straight.

I've never used kick-ich so I don't know about that.

Is this in the 65?

garlic

I wasn't aware the garlic treatment was that long, so will keep with it. This is in the 55, been setup for 2 1\2 years. Thanks

Hey Fred-

If you can find some Selcon I would try that. My tangs had a couple spots of ick when I started using that in their mush. I haven't seen a spot of ick since on any of my fish! (knock on wood)

On another note sort of... we pooled an order for some Selcon and golden pearls a while back. Is anyone in need of that stuff again? I could use some Selcon pretty soon. I still have my entire amount of golden pearls if anyone wants to buy/trade for them. Just let me know.

Selcon

Hey Dave, never heard of selcon before. If you tried it & it worked, guess I could give it a shot. Is there any place to get it around here, in case I don't think I could wait for a pool order?

Hey Fred-
Some places may call it Selco also. Not sure who might have it. I would try the Vanc shops first. If not, I heard CB's on 181st and Burnside has some. I work with a guy who helps out there once in a while. If I get time, I will call a couple places tomorrow on my side of the river. Let me know if you find some.
