June meeting to be held at Waves, Sunday June 26th
Sam at Waves has been kind enough to offer us a place to meet this month, which will be an important meeting logistically for the club. We will be going over membership, collecting our first round of dues, distributing our new membership cards, distributing the new charter, and discussing the summer bbq. Please be sure to make every effort to make this meeting as a lot of information will be covered.
Since the meeting date would fall on Fathers Day this year, we are moving the meeting to the 4th Sunday of the month, the 26th, with a normal start time of 2:00pm.
If you are not yet on the evite list sign up now, evites are going out in the next couple of days. PM me for details on how to get on the email invitation list if you have not yet done so.
Thanks, and see you all at the meeting.

I am excited for the meeting on the 26th!! I finally will be able to attend, considering I work every Sunday. On top of what Krux said about the meeting, everyone with a membership card will be able to take advantage of 10% of all livestock, and many exclusive members only dry goods specials. Be on the lookout for my emailer in the next few weeks for details. If you are not on my email list, I can add you to my list, simply by emailing me at WavesSam@hotmail.com
Every week I send out a stocklist, specials, news, and a funny yet informative tech tip.. Be sure to get on the list!

We will also be discussing the topic we would like our first guest speaker to go over... if you haven't already heard who it is (i have been trying to keep it a secret.... shhh all of you who already know) you DEFINATELY want to be at the meeting... this speaker is going to be bringing along some stuff for us to buy, and we will be going over the process of how that will work out at this meeting.
dues are 20 for an individual, 30 for a family of 4.
oh... to be eligeable to take part in the special buying event at the august meeting, you need to be a member... another perk to throw out there, along with the discounts at waves and other local shops.
you may be sitting there thinking do i really want to go to another meeting, i need to wash my car that day... the answer is a definitive YES.

Ryan,
When does the year start?? Since you started collecting them at the last meeting. Not that it matters. But you might want to keep all renewal date consistent to make it simple on you.

Jim.. If I remember right the year is starting as of June or July.... I think its June though... Dont remember too much vicodin lately... pretty badly broken toe lol... I think all the cards are going to have an Expiration Sticker inside them and then Laminated... Dont quote me on that though..

the year will start after this meeting, basically july. the 5 people who have already paid for their memberships will have the benefit of theirs lasting until september of 06 before they have to renew, at they will be able to get next years membership at a pro-rated price to reflect the early registration incentive.
my eventual plan long term is to make the summer meeting fall generally in august, and that will be the voting and new officer induction meeting, as that is a time of the year when the most club members tend to be free and available to attend.
we need to discuss as a club how to handle mid term enrollment... there are some setup fees to cover, my inclination is 20 for a year, 15 for 6 months, 10 for 3 months, which will cover the costs of at least the membership card and food at one major event at 10 dollars, assuming we only have one big event every quarter that costs the club a cash outlay... but again, that is just my initial thought on the topic, we will be discussing that at the meeting.
excellent question

Sounds like a plan. I would just keep it simple and just have everyone pay for the year. And don't do prorating and other stuff. This will keep overhead low and simple for who ever is managing it. Same membership model that PSAS is using.
So if someone joins in November, then it is still $20 and renewal is still in July. Or they can wait until July to join and miss the Christmas party at Ryan's.
