information please

Tank has been up and running for about 2weeks now. Sand use to be clear as well as some of the rock- now there is a "discoloring" light brownish maybe. What is this? Anything to do to clear this up? I know the tank has to cycle, but is this part of the cycling?

sounds like diatoms.

It is normal. when your tank is cycled I would add some snails to help.

Just curious, in your sig. it says you're running 4 160w actinics, are you planning on MH?

Did you set your tank up with RO water or tap? Just curiouse. Snails will certainly help.
