I'm Back........

I was away from the hobby for about a year. (After a 2 year successful run) I just had the biggest problem with hair algae...then I started losing fish left and right and couldn't take it anymore. But like a true saltwater hobbyist I couldn't stay away for long.

I'm looking to set up a 10 gallon Nano tank. I'm newly pregnant and don't need any more stress. All I want is some mushrooms, some live rock and two clowns or two blue damsels.

I'm looking for anyone who would have lights for a 10 gallon setup. I'm interested in (maybe) NO or PC. No halides as I kids and it would be too much for a 10 gallon.

I also have a nice 40 gallon tank w/ fake wood trim (i'll check the measurements to make sure) for trade or sale. (No lights no lid no stand with it) Just the tank. I'm willing to sell it for $25 or trade....

One thing that sucks is that all our local fish stores but ONE have closed this last year! And that one's not so great!!

I live in Roseburg

Welcome back kylatay,

I live in Salem, I know what you mean about the LFS's in Roseburg, I was there a few months ago, and the only one I found was the one across the street from the VA hospital. If you make to Salem, there a two LFS's here that arent tooo bad. Good luck.

Welcome back

You might want to put up a post in the classified section here on The Reef Tank. "WTB lights for nano" or something like that.

You could also try using of the Lights of America shop lights. I know several people who use them. They do tend to run a little yellow though. If you do a search on Lights of America or LOA it should turn up, or you could look in "The Reference Place" too, all here on good ol' TRT

Thanks Alice.....I do have some LOA 65 watt lights. That's what I ran before on my 40 gallon but I thought with all the hair algae probs I would try something else......

Thanks for the advice though and the welcome. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you at some future meetings
