Help on posting pics

I used Corel 6 photopaint to resize some pics down the the 170,000 bytes size, but figured out that Photo-Paint was showing me the size of bytes in memory, not the size of the file on the disk.
The size of the file in memory is 166,000, but the file on the disk is 46,000. Anyone got any ideas, or something else to use?

Fred,

Not sure what you are getting at. Posting or resizing. The amount of memory to store a picture is going to be more if the stored file is not a BMP format. JPG uses compressing and is only for file storage only. BMP are not compressed images so it will represent what is stored in memory. 46KB is not big, so you will be find. If you are seeing 46MB, then I would worry.

You can also use MS Paint to resize.

Hope this helps.

Oh, then I wouldn't worry about the memory size, just the file size as this is what is transmitted over the wire.

How do you like your tank's clarity? Does it have a slight green tint?

tint

Starphire is 30% clearer than regular glass. there is a slight tint at the corners, where you look at the edge of the glass. When you put a white piece of paper inside & look from the outside in, really can't see the tint.

White polyps

Anyone know what these are supposed to end up like? I have had them a good year, stayed totally white until I put them in the low light tank. been in there about 4 months.

Hitch hikers

Got this Acro home from DSG, & found the 2 hitchikers on it. Are they good crabs or bad crabs? I could not see if their eyes are red or not, maybe did not wait long enuff.
