O k here is the scoby with Blane. i tried to put together an order to get the free shipping. When i fell short I invited you guys to join in. When I had enough orders to get the free shipping I sent Blane the list and he was out of almost everything.
So that put the order on hold. However there still seems to be interest in doing an order, maybe we should start a new list with a cut off date? That way as peaple make a request we can have Blane hold them until the ship date. What do you guys think? Bag it or start again.

I'd say bag the original order.

Given:
the hit or miss nature of the shown inventory* AND
quantity info for the stuff he does have is little sketchy# . . .

I'd suggest we put together a tentative list on Sunday and then call him up. Then we can adjust the list if it turns out we're ordering more quantity than he has on hand.

I offer the use of my wife's cell phone for the call - she won't mind. If this seems like a good idea - then someone can shoot him an email alerting him to expect the call.

- - - - - -
* who knows maybe the $40 pinks are sold out already?

# If there is only one $40 pink - I'd be happy to let someone else have it and choose something else. Figuring that I could trade for the pinks at some time in the future.

What does that mean? Are you saying the color is going to be drastically different Piero?

Yes, from 20k to say 10k or 65k the color will change, the more blue or actinic the better the color is exagerrated.

I prefer the term "enhanced" to "exaggerated" but then again, I'm running a 20k lamp.

I'm fairly certain that my 29 w/ the 20k's looks bluer, but the back is also painted blue versus the 20 with 50/50 pcs and the black background. However, it really does look white but the corals absolutely glow. You should see the orange monti cap I got from Charles, or my zoos. Actually, I have one of each zoo in both tanks and they look totally different after a while (even if I swap from the 20k back into the 50/50pcs) Anyhow, just an observation, sorry for post hijacking.

Jfly......I agree....it looks blue but....I REALLY doubt that the vendor is trying to "deceive" anybody.

yall saw the pics i posted of my zoos, and about half of those were from him. they definately are a lot less "colored" under my 10k lights than 20k or actinic only, but that is the case with 99.9% of zoos. the ones that are intensely colored under regular white light are really hard to find, especially whe you are talking about blue, purple, red, and pinks.

the best way to do your order may indeed be at the meeting. get online at the persons house, figure out what everyone wants, call blane right then, and as he pulls stuff for folks, just add it up and write randy a check right there so he can make one payment to blane.

blane is no slouch when it comes to filling orders, if you can all figure out a way to put in the order all at once, he will make sure you get what you order. everyone being in one place at one time might be the only way to facilitate this though.
