Got Kalk?


Well I picked up the kalk,,, 200 pounds of food grade calcium hydroxide.

Ill be picking up my scale on saturday, and will start bagging it. I probably wont make the meeting, but if anyone wants to make arrangements to swing by, and take a bunch to salem thats great.

ya i was thinking about doing it in the garage with the door open, just to see who shows up. I cant wait to see the cop taste test it to see what it is

So Joel, when will it be ready for pick-up? I have to go to Gladstone Friday afternoon and would pick it up from you( for all the southerns to give out at the meeting) if you think it would be ready then. If that doesn't work then I'll be going back Tues. or Weds. night. Let me know what you think.

Everything else is in the planning stages for a 240 build but I'll be using these from the old setup......400w 20k Radiums w/ VHO supplement and Euro-Reef skimmer.

If you have an good scale we could bag it friday night (not exactly what I had in mind though, nor does my wife )

I was planning on baggin saturday, after I went to my studio, and brought back the scale. (im a jeweler, not a drug dealer).
I also need to run to costco and get some zip locks,,, its going to take ALOT to bag up all this kalk....

the kalk came with the "material safety data sheet" I thought R1 might like to see it.

The info:
calcium hydroxide 15 mg/m3
calcium hydroxide respirable 5mg/m3
crystalline silica (quartz) 0.1 mg/m3 0.05 mg/m3 OSHA calculation
biling point, SG, melting point, etc if you want
Solubility in water 0.185 % @0 c 0.077% at 100c


etc etc etc,,, tons of data I dont understand..... Case in point, it is Food Grade kalk.

OH and dont snort it,,,, it can cause cancer
