lol..

i actually prefer the newer version...

fattoni, can you explain to me agn why you don't play the new version? there were alot of people on that server who didn't like it either, but I couldn't get the gist of why...

They both seam identical to me, aside from the fact that the new one has amazing graphics and the best ragdoll body physics ive seen ever.

ahh i think that the new version is to much like battlefield and ive heard its a bit more "user" friendly, so its doesnt take the skill to win, as where in 1.6/1.5, you could play for 2months and still wont be the best in every server....I like how 1.6 looks a lot better then the new one. But i dont like change so that might be why....lol

lol..

i hear ya. I'm just such a sucker for the cutting edge graphics, and clearly not experienced enough of a CS player to tell the difference in terms of game mechanics. I'm used to the scifi-style FPS's. Like UT, Quake, etc.

But CS: Source is quite an experience. The ragdoll physics, and the realism of the red spray gettin all over everything...and everybody....is shockingly realistic and never gets old.

also, it's amazing how everyhying in the environment acts as it would in real life. shooting a fruit cart is quite a different experience than shooting a milk carton, or a plastic bucket...the physics are just insane. and the sound......whoa

i was writing music shooting tiled walls in the bathroom with a machine gun ...the tiles getting shot and shattering off the wall in different tones was so real...

and then there's the gravity gun thing that you can use in the deathmatch mod....can't beat hurling a toilet into someone's face and watching it knock them 20 meters back down a hallway...lol

lol...

another thang nifty, is the ability for players to spray a "tag" image on any surface in the game as a marker. Some guy got realy creative and used it to his advantage in game......He made his tag image a sexy picture of a topless model on the beach...lol...and then he hid nearbye in the shadows....

Every time someone came down the hall, they paused in front of his picture long enough to get shot in the back...lol.

i couldn't stop laughing....gotta hand it to him...it's smart, and effective given the target audience ingame.

LoL.. that is good. I saw one guy who had a spray that looked like a terrorist crouched with an AK... it was fun to watch a counter-terrorist person walk around the corner and start spraying.

What's your screen name in game? I'll keep an eye out for ya.

Yeah Man, I have been waiting for this. I built my pc to play this game on. Although I might build a new one just for gaming.

Piero: have you checked out all the in game videos??They are sick. you like the realistic stuff, check out when the tanks fire, how the cloud of dust shoots up. And after all this time getting the flying down and shooting fools out of the sky, now they add lock-on to the missles.

Cant wait,
Dave
