Filter sock issues

I'm currently changing the sock every 3 days in the 300g
Why does my skimmer go crazy????? it skims about 5g in under a minute! (big skimmer). it's obviously clear water.
Is there anything i can do to prevent this?

Right now i just turn off the skimmer for 15 mins.

You have to Wash them in plain hot water Prior to using them... Its only the first time when they are new as well..

There is a coating that makes the skimmer go nuts on them... Never seemed to hurt anything but the salinity...

I would just wash them in Hot water with 1 cup of bleach with an Extra rinse Cycle... Let them air out for a few days afterwards and call It good... Soaps contain Phosphates and other Chemicals... Probably one of them..
