Dennis: Acro question

I wanted to post a picture of the acro you gave me last week. It's the baby-blue acro. I haven't seen much baby blue so I thought I would ask what you thought of the coral from this picture.

Thanks,

Scott

Puntific-
Often times when an Acro is fragged, transported, glued in place, and adjusting to new water perameters they will brown out for a few days to a few weeks. Give it time it should color up nicely.

Scott,

Hey....the coral is lookin' good!!! Remember I told you I had it under 175W halides and now you have it under a 400W halide? What you are seeing is a "bloom" of the zooanthele algae!! Let it go for a couple weeks and it will turn colors for you. In my tank it was baby blue. In your tank it may be ?. Who knows...maybe RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bottom line.....SPS change colors from one tank to another. They usually turn brown first then to whatever exact color they're gonna be! Enjoy!!

Dennis

PS: Here is a pic of the coral in my tank. Now since I saw this pic...It's hard to see the blue! Those "bright" areas on the coral are light blue. It's not the WHOLE coral that is blue....just new growth areas or so towards the top.

Thanks Dennis for the reassurance. It's my first acro and I am a bit unsure of myself. I was worried that perhaps being under so much brighter light might cause a problem in adjustment. Glad to here it is looking well.
