By far saltwater Fanta-sea is the best saltwater shop in Portland. The owner and staff are so help full and there prices are very good! If you are having problems with your fish tank they will do whatever they can to help you out even sometime setting up a tank in the store to put your fish/corals in tell you fix your tank! And every weekend there is always free coffee and doughnuts and every day there is free soda and candy by far the best costumer service in Portland fficeffice" />>>

In Astoria we have a pretty good fish store called pet works. They have a few pretty knowledgable people who can help you out pretty well. Not a hell of a lot of selection though. But they can order just about anything you want. Pretty good little store all around though. They are actually the satellite store of one in Longveiw Washington. Pretty decent for the coast, nothing like what there is in the city though.

If you are coming via 22 might as well checkout the two here close by before headed up North. Coral Reef off 12th/State behind Subway. It's the only remaining one here in Salem. Real nice setups and prob. the best looking stock of any place around. Also in Albany is All for Fish. Very large store not cramped like most places and nice setup with allot of volume and stock of supplies , but tanks didn't look nearly as cared for stock wise as other places.

Seahorse is always a good choice. I'd stay away from yuppy Tualatin. Nothing against upscales it's a nice place but Tualatin sucks and isn't worth your time spent in traffic.

For fish, I also think that Caye's Aquarium deserves a mention.
