Ok, I have paid for 2 zoos, so this deal better go... I heard from, Lee... he said that he doesn't know who is paying for shipping and doesn't know when to ship our stuff. I guess I could cover shipping...heck it can even come to my house if you want...I think I am pretty centrally located for everyone... but how do I get reimbursed??
Joel, as a side note.... Upscales said this scooter would eat frozen brine shrimp (which I have already).... now I am really worried that maybe I shouldn't have gotten him... I don't want to starve a fish.. I DO have LOTS of pods... do they eat that????
Ordered 2 zoos... lets see how we can split things.. maybe they grow for awhile and then we split them??? I don't know.. I am so new to all this... but having lots of fun!!!

I am no expert but I would think that if you have lots of pods and thusly a mature reef tank, a scooter would be pretty happy there since they basically are geared for picking-off and eating little creepy crawlees all day long.
Hope that the little critter thrives.

I think we will let everyone order over the weekend and depending on where a central location for everyone ends up, that person will pay for shipping and recieve the shipment. you get reimbursed cause no body gets there corals unless they pay the person for shipping! You, Me, and James all live much closer than the rest of the group (on this order) so it only makes sense to have it come to Tigard.
Ya the blenny will eat the pods, thats what I was going to tell you about. It will probably also decimate your pod population real quick, so if you can get the little guy to eat frozen food you should go for it. keep an eye on those pod numbers, you can always buy pods online....

Jenn, squirt some frozen brine in front of the scooter blenny. If you see it eating, then it will take to frozen food. But if it swims away, then chances it will not take to frozen food, but will in time. I believe scooter blennys are actually anoher variety of dragonets and not a true blenny. It was named a scotter blenny because early on, no one knew what it was and called a blenny.
Blennies are finiky eaters so if it is new, it may not eat for a while. But having live pods will help. Check with any local reefers who have a refugium and that's typically a good source for live pods.

Thanks everyone for info on my new baby. I do have alot of pods now but I guess may need to suuplement later.. I squirted some frozen brine a bit ago and he didn't budge from his spot. He has actually dug himself into the sandbed with just his head sticking out.I see that I may be in for a struggle. This is what I get for making one of those "impulse buys" that we in this hobby are not supposed to make. I wonder if I should just find him a new home or take him back to the store... I absolutely do not want him to starve just because I thought he was so "cute". Anyone interested?

If you have pods in your tank, then he will take to them. Give him a little time to adjust to the new environment. I have had 1 green dragnet for 3 years and he just scoot around looking for food. I never see him eat, but he's not starving or fat. Even after treating for Red Bugs, I was afraid he may starve, but still scooting around and now taking to frozen brine.

Thanks, Joel, that may be what I have to do. I sure don't want him to starve. Then when I get that new bigger home set up and established I can bring him home. I'll watch him closely for few days and then decide. I need to get going on setting up my new 50 but I am not quite ready to.
I'll let you know, thanks alot for the offer.
