Anemone in the CL Intake

Ok... my anemone is still on the move. Last night he got himself stuck in the intake to the closed loop. Fortunately the CL intake is split between two intakes so the suction is not super strong. Not sure how long he was in there but it looked really bad, I thought he was a goner. I turned off the CL and surprisingly he started moving off of the strainer. This morning looks pretty good.

It looks like my tank is not very anemone safe. I have the closed loop off right now. He has not moved away from the strainer. I did not want to move him after all he had been through. I am thinking about puting an egg crate box around the intakes for now. That would be temporary. I don't think I would like the look. Any other ideas?

I don't think your the lone ranger ... your solution is probably as good as any until your anemone find a "home". I haven't keep anemones for years but used to place sponge filter media over my intakes when the anemones were on the move.

Well, I made an egg crate box to cover my CL intakes. Hopefully that will keep him safe. Here is a picture, not the best but you get the idea. I hope I will be able to remove it soon.

Btw, it kinda looks like he is splitting. he is starting to dimple on one side. That would be great, then I would have two of these guys to worry about.
