Cool

Addiction and it is all your fault!!!

Several weeks ago when Jenni was putting up her "new" tank and having such a hassle with her LR... She elected to gift us with her green chromis, tube anemone, and a frag of Xenia... Oh My God... That started it... and it is all your fault Jenni.... the beginning of the addiction!!!! Up to this point we were content with Live Rock and Fishes...

The ensuing weeks found us meeting in parking lots, fellow reef tank homes... and bringing home "various" "wavy" things and bags of white powder... We cant get enough of them... Just this evening we went to one of our favorite LFS stores... and came home with a sun coral... Bright yellow... We think it is just like yours Jenni... You have great taste... Not to mention we had to pick up a few other LPS and a fish of course and 2 sandsifting starfish...... and it is all your fault... Not just Jenni.. but the rest of you reefer guys too... Robyn is talking about a Birds nest... that is one of those "sticks"... and some clams.. soooo you guys need to help us support this habit you got us addicted to... Ohh by the way.. we now have Zoos... never thought of them a something we wanted..but they are quite nice... Robyn gets so excited when something "blooms".. she yells... Roger come look... look now.. not later... Look whats happening... Stop cooking dinner... and come see what this coral doing in the tank..

Is there a 'white jacket" society that comes after people that are addicted... in this saltwater world???

Thanks everyone for all your info... Can't wait for our son to return from school in 2 weeks so he can build us a canopy for the MH...

See you all on Sunday...

Oh, you 2!!! I am so sorry to have started this addiction! I would be very happy to just take everything off your hands so you can go back to your "normal-before-reef" lives!! lol I too am so completely over the top with this hobby...I just said to my husband tonight that I need a BIGGER tank!!! I just got "the look".... but I see a bigger one in my future! Someday...... This tank is already filling up quickly and I find myself not being able to find a spot for all the new things I bring home. Just brought a bunch of zoos, a baby toadstool, a cabbage leather, some great wagonwheel mushrooms and some other things home today from my friend Suzanne.

anyway, again accept my deepest apologies for creating the reef monsters within you!! LOL I am glad you are enjoying this hobby and I am so glad that I came upon it at the point in my life that I did also.

Reefers UNITE!!!!

now you will begin to understand the jokes that start flying around here, things about always needing a bigger tank, dont tell my wife/husband about such and such, anyone want to trade me a frag of XXX for my kid, etc. etc. etc.

this hobby is not for the weak!

really the worst part is, the more you learn, the more you know, the more you want, the more you spend, the less you eat and buy clothes to afford bigger skimmers, and on and on and on... some day i will be naked and 50 lbs, but i am for darn sure going to have me a nice fish tank!

once you buy a tank big enough to scuba in you know you are addicted... I had to wear my scuba mask and snorkel to move some rocks one day and aquascape... I think thats about where i started thinking... "uhm... is this too much?? have i really gone overboard now?....thats stupid... this is not overboard... its time to start thinking about that new tank i need... it would be stupid not to... "

That's right, buy what you want then blame some else - gotta always think denial - it's not you but those other reefers with their big tanks and more corals than you have always pushing you to the limit what am I saying - it's not my fault i'm gonning to have a bigger tank soon.
