OK, you all want to see a topic change.

Look Spanky, over there, Krispy Kreme Donuts.

G~

P.S.- keeping a thread on topic with this group is tough. we need a bit of down time for our brains to keep from exploding.

You are running a closed system that the nutrient levels are so low that peeing in your tank will improve calcification in your stony corals.
Now that's one of the few things I never tried

I can see it now. I'm standing on the step ladder, peeing in my tank when my wife walks in -

Wife "What are you doing?"
Me "Improving the calcification in my stony corals" as I zip up.

Wife "Hello DSL provider, please turn our DSL off, my husband is spending way too much time on reef boards."

Ok Spanky, I'm convinced. I'm gonna look into it.

So the anwer is; keep it simple, just increase feeding/bioload?

It's not that I don't believed you or something like that, I was just searching for answers.

Sometimes it is hard to find the right information between all the DSB, Zeo, SSB, Skimmerless, Refugium, Suppements, etc etc etc

Leonardo

(BTW, I'm gonna sell pee in a bottle as SPS Colour-Enhancer )

If it works (because that is not sure) it's unethical I think. I'm just trying to get my corals healthy!

Here's a good "rule of thumb".

If they are selling you something, or related to the pet industry in some way, or even just a shill for the industry, be very leery. If it sounds too good to be true, or involves you buying something or using some product.

There's this one pet/hobby product in particular, and the story goes that the person that invented it choose to only sell it to the pet industry. Let me see if I have this right.
He's only selling it to the pet industry, when if it were real, he could make billions selling it to the seafood industry.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

I think I'm finally reaching a happy medium between nutrient poor and enough nutrients to grow algea. Seems I'm still on the nutrient poor side, but the digitata frag is showing some calcification today. I've been feeding blender mush to the fish twice a day, might as well drip it into the system. MH lighting on 4 hours a day.

Other things running the skimmer dry and ozone set to low (corallife 25mg hour unit)

The bad, the aquasun bulb sucks, way to orange for my taste. Thought it would be a 10kk with some pink, but it is just orange. Need to get some 50/50 flourescents. Oh well it's only money.

The Ugly- green slimer is dead

I think I'm imaginating things the coral on the left seems to be dying not growing

What to do next, I been feeding the fish plenty.

Downgrade my lighting

What should I go with a 250 or 175 watt
