I'm guilty - and lazy - as charged.
Have not done a water change in over three months.
But I do need to siphon out the sump and a couple of little piles of sand in tank, so it's off to get water I go...
......I guess.

I haven't changed any water yet in my new tank but I'll have to come up with a system. The only thing I needed done so far was suck up LR shed & ran & micron filter sock over night as far as cleaning goes. My other tank I would change about 30g once a month, which was about 30% but that wasn't good enough for the way the tank was set-up, which makes a big difference on how much cleaning is necessary. I guess that may be a little off wc subject sorry!

for the last year i've been doing about 15-20% a week. It's quite agressive, but i have a smaller tank and am still in recovery mode from a severe algae growth about 15 months ago. I hope to be able to pull off about 10% every two weeks once i have a larger tank set up (going from a 70 gallon system to a 160 gallon system.

Now I need to find a salt ( reef crystals) producing TREE and Im set !!
Probably overkill but it has prevented the nasties from appearing for me!!

90g+33g sump;
Do waterchanges when sump has too much poop settling; mostly once a week, sometimes twice. Each W/C 5 gallons.
