Upgrade to Tunze 6100?
Currently I am running 2 Tunze 6000's along with a Mak4 Closed Loop, but, of course I am still finding some dead spots, as well as having to blow off the rock weekly to keep it clean. Should I upgrade my Tunze to make them 6100's? Or will that be too much? I have a 75G, with all SPS(and fish)
Thanks,
Dave

Gman:If it was a bigger tank, I would, but, in a 75 Tunze's are big enough of an eyesore, since I can simply change the transformer, I figure I'll ne good to go.
I am just making sure it won't be too much flow?

That's what I meant when I referred to clockwork's tank, he's got tons of flow directed at the right spots, it's really not how much flow you have but more how you use it. As long as the crap is getting off the rocks and bottom and going through the overflow to the skimmer you're fine.

I actually found someone who was getting rid of his 6100 transformer, so, I'll have 1 of the 2 in a few days. Just updating everyone, I'll let you all know if my fish are bouncing off the glass or not. ; )

Recieved the 1st transformer, and it is defintely not too strong. Polyps on my SPS seem to have come out a little more, also, could be a premature observation, but, it seems just right. When I feel the other 6000 I have, it feels much weaker(it is double the power 1849 gph, now 3170gph), almost too weak. Can't wait to get the other one in. Would defintely reccomend a 6100 for anyone with a 75G BB.

The controller for the Tunze's is actually a 6095. I have an older model 6094. Pretty much the same functionality between mine and the newer one, couple of new features; moonlight, couple other settings. But, to answer your question, yes I do have one, really like the back and forth wavemaking option.

Blast, I wonder where I got the 7150 number then?
That is the coolest part of the Tunze pumps, one of these days,... Maybe I will be lucky and find a set of 6000 or 6100 used,..
I hear that Seio is comming out with a controler, but insted of making it rock back and forth it ramps both pumps up and down at the same time
