Those driveway reflector rods ...

When using the 1/4" driveway reflector rods .. $1.25 at xmas tree shops around here....
I assume you drill all the way down from top to bottom of where you wnat the rod to go and into the 7/16" cutting board?

Do you drill a bunch of holes in the board and use the one that is closest or only drill the hole you are going to use?

No, crvz didn't drill any holes on the cutting board. In fact I don't remember ever seeing anybody doing that b4. You just drill the LR to place the rod and that's it.

yup. but the rock has got to be relatively stable. I made sure, as I was building the stacks, to choose a very flat and large rock for the bottom, and then kind of balance them off from there (so if I decided to drill one off-centered, I'd have to do another one the same way and make it hang on the other side).

it's just something to put between the glass and the rocks (also refered to as starboard) for protection and, as some feel, aesthetics. any inert plastic material that lays flat on the glass would work, and cutting boards usually fit the bill.
