I had Bryopsis before, and this sort of looks like it.. but just not quite the snowflake look to it as I have seen...I hope it isnt bryopsis...that will set back the project a ton..

BTW check out my new UV... need to get it up so it can kill this bryopsis spores if it is bryopsis.

I know.... I know.. what a joke... 3 weeks into it and have bryopsis... a big reason I took down my last tank.. and I didnt even use ANY rocks from the old tank.. oh well, here comes the rowaphos.. I am taking those rocks out and scrubbing the crap out of them...have to get rid of this before I do my aquascaping...

If you can simply pull the rock out spare yourself from pointless scrubbing, the scrubbing wont make it go away as most likely the roots will remain.......... take a blow torch to it......if you cant take it out cover the roots well after pulling the majority of it out(DONT drop any of it back in the tank) with super glue or epoxy.
yeah, you are going to kill a piece of the rock where it lived but who cares.....itll be fine.....that stuff SUCKS......but you already know that ; )
I have used the simple cover it with super glue or epoxy method with success but i recently found a touch of it in my 225 and heard someone else mention the blow torch method so i did it..........sometimes it still grows through the epoxy...not usually but if you leave it the tiniest path it can.......there is no doubt after the torching that it is DEAD : )

nothing eats it and it will take over your tank worse than anything you can imagine. the torch worked really well for me. there were still a few green tufts when i was done but they were burned so badly they just dissolved and disappeared.

not true that nothing eats it.. Lettuce Nudibranch usually will...but I'd have to turn the flow in my tank way down. I suppose I can get a few of them... but this crap is all over in little tufts...I need to get my UV up and running...so it kills any spores in the water so this crap wont spread... **** I hate bryopsis... torching is an idea, but so many spots, they are easy to see in the water, but when I take it out, I cant.... are there any torches I can use under water???

not really... but you could mark each spot before you take the rock out with a stick pin or something.

I hate saying this but it is atrue statement.
I would rather have redbugs than bryopsis. I would rather have my tanks loased with majano and aiptasia than bryopsis. I would rather my wife get ANOTHER stupid yapping, urinating, licking, disobedient and otherwise obnoxious worthless chihuahua........THAN having bryopsis.
Ok.......im kidding about that last one...............but you get the idea
The first two can be erradicated more easily than bryopsis

I have that stuff on one rock in my tank and (no wonder my zoos aren;t doing well) but the entire rock is getting encrusted with red coralline algae, covering over a lot of the bad stuff. Is it possible that will take care of it? the red is also starting to cover the zoos as well, is that normal and can they grow over it? It is definately coralline and not bad algae.

Bryopsis usually tends to do any real damage by growing thick enough hanging over stuff and blocking out the light. That and it looks awful to have these thick green tufts of algae in your tank.
If you have red stuff growing over your zoos it isnt coralline. Coralline will not grow on the flesh of live animals. It will grow on skeletons, skeletal mass, rock, powerheads, tank walls etc and other non-living things.
