Tank is empty....
i've got the sand out and laid in the cutting board to fit, haven't siliconed the bottom in yet.
I do need to silicone the edges right? I know I need to seal the bottom since it is pieced in.

don't forget you have a center brace when doing plumbing...I can cap the tee thats under the center brace in the middle, but i was wondering if I could put another spraybar on it. do you think the pump could handle it? I don't want to reduce the flow to the point that the spraybar won't work. THAT would be a disaster!

probably dont absolutely NEED to silicone the edges. But itd be great to do it now, since the tanks already empty! Just make sure you use the right silicone. I used the wrong one, and boy was it a PITA. GE I For doors and windows is fish safe. NOT THE GE 2!
But if youre gonna silicone it, nows the time.

priming the pump?
How should I plumb it so the pump will prime?

you should put a "T" at the top of the intake for the pump and just put water in the PVC, then cap it.

you can't see it but i've changed that bottom tee at the spraybar to 1.5" , i'm not done but had to get the fish and coral back under lighting and filtration. I'll have to finish aquascaping later. Pushed the tube down on the skimmer cause i'm going to bed, that was 10 min. worth and it was really rising. Added a before BB taken on March 30, 2007. Even not aquascaped I think it looks better now.

I think you're really gonna be happy with the change! Have you noticed any changes in the coral. When I first changed to BB my corals picked right up and started smilin'

Very nice and open aquascape. I think the snails may get blown by the water in some areas but they will addapt.
is that a shot glass I see in there?

You caught me, been drinking while working on the tank! LOL
No, its a small glass with little frags i've yet to glue. The blew all over the bottom.
Well i'm wondering if i've got enough flow for the whole tank. I've got the returns powered by 1142 gph pump and then the spray bar. I see polyp extension but i just don't know....hmmmmI really hate to add any of the seio's back in the tank, even with the white pipe it looks so much nicer now.
Still need to get the canopy back on

You need more. Neither the sump returns or the spraybars are really instrumental in getting your overall tank flow.
Either powerheads or another closed loop. OR get a whole lot bigger pump that can run both the spraybars and 2 or 3 other flow ports on a CLS.
Being as this is a sps tank, I would think you would want at least another 2500 gph turnover. Even more wouldnt hurt, but at least that much in addition to what youve got

here's an update, i've changed rock around once again, removed a harl. tuskfish. I used some tonga rock for the base and to hold up one of the rocks on the left.
