Spray bar question

Hey guys

So I had a question regarding my spraybar... what size holes and pipes do you think I should use? I have a DART plumbed giong up 1.5in tubing to OM4way, and from there it splits of to 4 1in of which only 2 are open at any one time... right now I reduced the 1inch opening on the tank down to 3/4in for the spray bar pipe but now I am thinking that might be restricting my flow?? I drilled maybe like 12 holes that are 1/8in and a couple that are 1/4 inch for each spray bar on either side of my overflow.. do you think this isnt enough??

Should I dump it and go with the loc line modular spray bars instead?

Last question, I have the bar probably about an inch or two above the starboard....is that a prob, should I lower it with another fitting, or just aim the holes to the bottom?

thanks
G

I did some experiments with flow through spraybars usning the om units recently. I run 8 ways on two different systems but i found that drilling 1/8" holes 1/2" apiece staggered up and down was doing the trick as far as matching the flow to the other 1" ports asa well as spraying both under the rocks(i lift my rocks) and at the rocks. However, my drums have 3 ports open at a time. On the barebottom tank ive got the spraybars resting on the starboard as well as every few inches i have holes drilled into the back of the bars to blow out anything that may get behind them.......i didnt reduce anything....1" pipe all the way

not really apples to apples with 3 ports open.........
my rationale to having 3 ports open every 120 degrees was so that my spraybars would never be taking more than 1/3 of my flow at any given time......
