some old tank pics - circa mid 80s

after geoff posted the old pic of his tank , i remembered that i had some from the 80's . the first one is of the very first acrylic tank i made ! if i remember it was about 60 gallons or so . ya gotta love the yellow water ! also i had to scan these so not the best quality . if you have some share them so i don't feel like the only one getting laughed at !

and here was the final resting place for the 125 . when we moved into this house the first thing i did was cut a hole in the wall , wife freaked on that one i remember ! but when it was all done it came out really nice (for back then ) . you gotta love the hair curlers i was using in the wet /dry ! and you can see the two home made air driven skimmers on the right end , one has a red top the other white . now i know why we had only limited sucess back then ! but i did have a uv back then and you can actually see it above the pump on the floor . later on the 125 was remove because i built a 240 gallon out of plywood , fiberglass and epoxy . i remember after setting it up i didn't have enough money to fill it with live rock and ended up selling it . that was replaced by an oceanic 135 gal . which last maybe a year and was sold off at a huge loss ! then the hole became a curio shelf , which still stands today !
