I would say at least 15 to what ever you want to put in. When i ahd my 55g, I had somewhere around 30. My 140 has....welll, I should say had 25 astreas and 30 ceriths. I'm more of a fan of the ceriths, for some reason the astreas die too quick in my tank....sure they get knocked over, once that happens, they are done for.

I read somewhere that a lot of astreas that are commonly sold are actually cold water species and die fast in our warmer home reefs.

Not to sound like a commercial but the ones I gotten from Drs. F & S have done fine in 80 degrees.
